District Court Information
Skagit County has only one District Court. The Judges are: Warren M. Gilbert,
Dianne E. Goddard, Jenifer G. Howson. Court Commissioners Pat Eason and Sarah Hayne are now also hearing contested infraction hearings.
If you qualify to use the Deferred Finding program, the cost is $200. The Court will add $10 if you need longer than 30 days to pay. The Court is considering raising the price starting next year. You can only use this option once every seven years, so don’t waste it. There is no probationary, or good behavior, period with Deferred Findings in this this court.
As of 2023, the Skagit County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office no longer participates in Contested Hearings. This means that most tickets will not be eligible for an amendment to a non-moving offense.
